Hello EE support, needing some guidance. First, I’m not a website maker, I’m our event’s above average admin:) So, pardon me if I don’t talk “tech” very well. We want to set our event cart and checkout up in an ideal way, and this is what we want to accomplish, please advise in easiest terms possible how we can create this. I do have our website builder to bring in on the conversation if something is not easy for me to understand. Here’s how we would like process to be: Passport to Wisdom – Early Bird Pricing $395 Passport to Wisdom – Preferred Seating / Supporter $1,000 Wisdom FilmFest $60 Wisdom Workshops $55 Morning Workshops: Special 2 Hour Workshop with Jean Houston $100 Special 3 Hour Workshop with don Miguel Ruiz $150 Afternoon workshops: Sample CHECKOUT Cart page: Registrant Information: We don’t want registrant to have to go through confirmation process, we don’t want to display # of tix available. Hope this all makes some sense. Is easiest way to get your help only here through forum? Is there a live chat option available, or a phone call? Thank you, |
Hi Michelle, To be honest, Event Espresso wasn’t designed to handle a registration process like the one described here. The Multi Event Registration add-on could get you part of the way there by setting all the events to go through the cart. Each workshop and event option would need to be set up as its own event. Here’s a link to the documentation that outlines how to make all the registrations go through the Multi Event Registration cart: I’d add that instead of using the default event list to show all the options, you could create a page that lists out all the options and use the [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK] shortcode to allow each option to be added to the cart: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/ If you do not need to track attendee numbers for each workshop, the workshop options could fall under an event and you could use the dropdown question type to allow the registrant to select their choice of workshops. The registration forms can be customized to add additional questions by following this guide: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/questions/#30_ You can hide the # of tickets available by adding this to your theme’s custom stylesheet or use a plugin like the my custom CSS plugin .spaces-available { display:none; } |

Hi Josh, may we purchase a support token and have EE support do this for us to the best they can? |
|
we have hit a major wall and not able to get this set up. what would be estimated time to complete? |
As I said before Event Espresso was not designed to handle a registration process like the one that you have specified here. I really cannot give a time estimate on how long it would take to complete because the scope of work to make a registration process work as specified here will require some custom development or some flexibility in the specification. Event Espresso doesn’t have the feature set that allows for registrations that involve so many price options and time options within one registration. |

Josh, we would like to purchase the EE support token to have this done by EE support. Need to know this is possible before we proceed. thank you, michelle grimm |
Hi Michelle, This isn’t something that can be done for one support token. With the specifications that you’ve given us so far it looks to me that this will require custom development since Event Espresso does not have the features needed to make this type of registration process possible. We can recommend contacting one of our pros to hire as consultants to make the necessary customizations: |
