Help! When I create a new event, information from previous events is self-populating in the event time and pricing sections. The list of times and pricing has been getting longer and longer. For example, in event pricing I am up to Name 1829! I am having to delete 100’s of pricing and time options each time I create a new event.

How can I erase this information so it doesn’t show up in new events?

Hi Lara,

The reason those got added is because your site got an update to WordPress core but did not get an update to Event Espresso 3 before someone tried adding some events.

Someone from Event Espresso staff can go through and delete those if you can complete the secure form on this page:

Hi Cindy,

We received the information you sent, but I’m afraid that the password you sent is incorrect, and the form was not completed. If you can resend the form with the corrections and be sure to include the FTP information, we can make those previous time and prices go away.

Hi Cindy,

The previous time and pricing information that were auto-populating in the new events have been removed.

You will need to update the Event Espresso plugin to Event Espresso 3.1.37 to avoid those getting added again. You can update to Event Espresso 3.1.37 by going to your WordPress > Plugins page, then you scroll down to the Event Espresso item and click update now.

Josh- Updates scare us! If we do the update, will any of the customization we had done get messed up?

If the customizations were done correctly (outside of Event Espresso core files) then they should be fine. You will find that running older software and avoiding updates will cause more problems than it solves. The new events self-populating problem you saw is one example of a problem you could have avoided.

Would you be able to tell if the customization was done correctly if you went in and looked? Is that something you could do for us?
