Data in event ID 1794 was orphaned and needs to be moved or associated to a new event ID 1839. Event 1794 does not show on the event list screen. I have access to all data through PHPMySQL. Please advise. Thank you. |

Can event ID 1794 be reactivated under a different user? |

Hi there, Firstly, my apologies for the delayed reply here. We’ve had a couple of issues elsewhere which I’ve been working on, those took longer than expected which pulled me away from working on this. I’m available from here and can start looking into this if you still want me to? However, it’s important to note here that it sounds like you removed a user account from the site and opted to delete the data when doing so. When you remove a user and opt to delete the data WordPress takes over (not Event Espresso) and removes any related data from the database. Event Espresso uses custom post types (meaning some of our data is stored within the WordPress core tables) which WP then determines if it should be removed or not, we also have custom tables, which EE determines what to do with. It’s not a case that EE needs to ‘reactivate’ an event but rather that WordPress has deleted the data within the core tables and only EE’s custom tables have references to that event now (the registration data). Trying to restore the data for this into the WP core tables will likely prove tricky, I can try restoring the previous EE event into the wp post table for your if you have a backup from prior to the deletion but failing that your best option is to recreate manually and re-add the registrations to that new event. Either way I’m going to request our sales team refund your support token here due to my delay but will happily help work through what I can with you here. |

Uninstalling Event Espresso doesn’t remove any of its data, so just doing that on it’s own will not fix anything. However we do have functions within EE to clear data, before I go into those note that these features clear ALL of your EE data for you to start fresh again. Thats sounds like what you are wanting but just want to make sure it was crystal clear as you don’t want to be using these whilst you have active events. I recommend creating a full database backup before using these just to be safe. Dashboard -> Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> Reset/Delete Data (tab on the top) In there is a ‘Reset Event Espresso Data’ button, that reset the EE4 table back to how they are when you initally activate EE4, no events, no registrations etc. If that doesn’t work to fix the above (it should) then you can use the ‘Permanently Delete ALL Event Espresso Data’ to completely drop the tables and start again. |
