I’ve recently started to get this or similar messages in WordPress, particularly when working with plugins:

Can you help me figure it out?

Hi there,
Do you use a plugin to prevent updates on the site?
Something is unsetting a value used during updates which IIRC should always be set. I’ll create a ticket to investigate this further, however, if you are using a plugin/code to disable updates I’d like to how that is being done so I can reproduce locally.

Hey Tony,
I am not using anything to block updates. I have wp auto-update set for most apps but that is it. When I said “working with plug-ins” I meant manually installing, updating or disbling.
