I will attach the screenshots, but the message says ” An invalid response was returned from the server while attempting to process your request. Please refresh the page and try again or contact support. “” We have had 3 different customers in the past two hours call us about this error. It happens on the checkout page when they click the button “proceed to payment options”. Iphone Safari was used by two of them and the third person was using chrome on windows laptop.
At the same time the past two hours there have been a few people able to register. Its been over a year or more since the last time I saw this error, and it literally started happening again after update today. I noticed in forum there are a few other errors as well so hopefully there can be a patch sent out soon. Thanks. We’ve been investigating this and found a possible cause with one of the PHP8 fixes we included in the last update (the issue doesn’t happen for everyone, it depends on your setup).
I’ve just pushed the latest version of Event Espresso live, which is version 4.10.35.p, can you update to that version and see if you get any more of the above reports?
If you don’t see the update live yet go to Event Espresso -> General Settings, just hit save to force an update check and the update should then show in Dashboard -> Plugins.
