I need to migrate just the ee4 content from my current site to my new one. We cannot copy the whole site, as a great number of changes need to occur and be tested before going live. Can you advise?

Hi Matthew,

Information is stored in native WP tables such as wp_posts with other supporting information being stored in native wp_esp_ tables.

If you try to migrate information in just a few DB tables, then you’ll have incomplete information for Event Espresso within your WP dashboard.

Okay, then is there a way to export/import the registrations from one to the other?

Those registrations need to be for an event, so you’d still need to import the events.

Right. So here’s my plan:
1) Copy the site entirely to a new server
2) Make edits to site
3) Export registrations that took place on existing site from the time of step 1 to present
4) Import those registrations into new site so that user experience is seamless.

Thoughts?

Hi Matthew,

Its more challenging than that as information is stored in various databases tables and there isn’t an attendee import / export tool at this time. For example, when a registration occurs, then some of that information is split between these database tables:

wp_esp_registration
wp_esp_attendee_meta
wp_esp_answer
