I’ve recently set up the licensed version of Event Espresso4 and I’m working through some issues and need to be able to test the registration process. Doing so obviously creates registrations and transactions in the plugin. I see that I can remove just about everything except the transaction. Is there a way to do this that I’m missing? Or, is there a recommended way to test the registration functionality without clogging up the plugin with unnecessary transactions? I’d like to only retain data associated with our customers, I don’t need to keep test data (transactions). |

Hi there, The transaction will automatically be deleted once the associated registrations assigned to it have been deleted. To delete registrations you need to remove any payments within the transaction itself first, then delete the registrations in Event Espresso -> Registrations.
No, currently the only way to test registrations is to create registrations (and their associated objects such as transactions, payments etc). |

Hi, thanks for the quick response, I must be missing something. For example, I created a test registration which created the corresponding transaction. I never made a payment on that transaction. I then deleted the registration, but the transaction persists and I don’t see a way to remove it. Is there data associated with the transaction that needs to be removed that I’m missing? |

No, only payments within the transaction need to removed, EE handles everything else for you. Did you perm delete the registration or just trash it? Event Espresso -> Registrations -> Trash (filter at the top of the list) If the registration is still there it hasn’t been completely deleted and so the transactions will remain. If its there, perm delete it or empty the trash and the transaction should be removed. |

No, I did not perm-delete the registrations. I have done that now and the transactions have been removed. Thanks so much, this makes everything a lot cleaner. |

You’re most welcome 🙂 Any further questions just let us know. |
