I have purchased the Printable Tickets addon for EE 4 and I need some advice on how I can get the tickets to be printable even if the registrant purchases tickets using EFT. My client needs the tickets to printable for all registrations not just when they pay via credit card through the payment gateway. Does not appear to print a ticket on the EFT registrations. For example if a registstrant books for an event and then later on pays for the event using a bank transfer. Steve |
Hi Steve, May I ask are you sending any notification emails to the attendees when they finalize the registration after they select the EFT payment option? For example is is the Registration Pending Payment email set to get sent out to them? |

Well they have set this up strangely and I am picking up the pieces at this stage. The only payment options setup are Invoice and Credit card. The credit card setup is fine and the attendess gets the printable ticket. However when an attendeee selects to be invoiced, my client has to go in after the payment has been made offline once the attendee tells my lient they have paid the invoice and approve the registration. Lastly my client has just asked me, can they setup free printable tickets for their sponsors, freebies etc? Thankyou so much for your help Steve |
Hi Steve,
There’s 2 options available to you for this. The admin can manually trigger the ticket notice after approving the registration, you do this within the ‘Actions’ column of the registration list as it is not triggered automatically. (http://take.ms/z4ctd) Or you can include the ticket link within the ‘Registration Approved’ message template so that all registrants receive their ticket links when the registration is approved. You’ll likely want to disable the ticket notice email if you do this otherwise users will receive the link in both emails. To do that you can go to: Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates -> Registration Approved -> Registrant. Add the Then disable the ticket notice within Messages settings tab (drag the ticket notice to the inactive section to disable it) |

Thanks Tony for the advice. I just tried adding the [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL] shortcode to the Registration Approved template but when i preview or do a Test email it appears like this “http://bowmanrichards.com?ee=msg_url_trigger&snd_msgr=html&gen_msgr=html&message_type=ticketing&context=registrant&token=1-daafpapasdlfakasdfpqasdfasdf&GRP_ID=19&id=0” Any ideas. Also do you have any advice how we can setup free printable tickets for an event? Steve |
That’s the URL for the tickets and is the correct output for that shortcode. Its not clear on what your asking ideas on, but I’m assuming you want a like such as Click here to print tickets If so you’ll need to switch to text mode on the editor and use something like:
To build out your own link.
Are these to hand out as physical printed tickets or for use to register on? |
