Hello,
I currently have two different events for which I am currently taking registrations. (a training for professionals and a workshop for couples). When people are registering for the training they are being asked questions I set up for the workshop (ie what is your partner’s name). How do I fix?

Thanks

Hi there,

Within each individual event, you can set the ‘Question groups’ requested for both the primary registrant and any additional registrations.

You currently have all of your questions set within the ‘Personal Information’ question group, that group is the one group that is required at least once for every registration submission (be it a group or single).

So what you’ll need to do is create a question group that holds the questions you want to ask on the training events and another group with the questions specifically for workshops. Then separate the questions out from the personal information question group and into their respective groups and leave that group with generic questions that apply to both.

We have some documentation on adding questions to groups here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/add-questions-event-espresso-question-groups/

You’ll then select the Personal Information & ‘training’ group on training events and the Personal Information & ‘workshop’ group on workshops events.

I can see you’ve also created custom questions for address fields, is there a reason you aren’t using the built-in system questions for those? (There is already a system ‘Address information’ question group containing those questions). Using custom questions for those means EE won’t use the value set in them through EE where it normally outputs the address values.
