I created an event and have had it live for several days. I just went in to review it before I send my e-mail distribution and the link is dead for some reason. Everything appears correct in the Event Espresso dashboard, but the Permalink goes to a “page not found” message. Help…I need to get this out ASAP.

Hey Garth – I’m not exactly sure what happened. I went through and deactivated all plugins and then the page was visible. I then re-started the plugins one by one but didn’t see any conflicts. Page seems to be working still, but a bit disconcerting as I’m not sure what it could have been.

Hi Mark,
What can happens sometimes is if another WordPress plugin or a WordPress theme function resets the permalink rules, you can end up with some dead links as a result. So when you’re updating, deactivating, reactivating plugins or themes, it’s a good idea to visit the WordPress > Settings > Permalinks page afterwards. Simply visiting that page will flush the permalink rewrite rules and restore things.
