We currently have a development site on the verge of being made live.

We have allow group registrations enabled. What we’re trying to do is for example: a person purchases four types of tickets(General Admission: Adult, Senior, Teen, & Child) for one event.

When they continue with the registration it asks to fill out First & Last Name along with Email for each ticket type being purchased. Originally we wanted to completely remove additional info for additional attendees, but First & Last Name is justified. We just want to remove the email field for the additional attendees now.

The reason for this is because we want only 1 email sent to the primary attendee, and that email will include links to all of the tickets purchased.

I’ve dabbled with a few solutions I’ve found searching around here, such as: https://eventespresso.com/topic/not-require-any-info-for-additional-attendees/

But haven’t been able to get it to function properly!

Any help or suggestions would amazing! I will continue trying to figure it out also.

I can provide a link for you to preview the cart yourself, but it will require you modifying the host file on your computer. The website is a redesign on the verge of going live and this is one of the last things needed to be done.

Thank you!

Hi Robert,

Event Espresso needs at least a first name, last name, and an email to correctly process a registration for an attendee/registrant.

Alright, I was actually just now able to get the auto-copy solution from: https://eventespresso.com/topic/not-require-any-info-for-additional-attendees/ to work properly.

Now it hides all of the additional attendee forms and auto-copies the primary attendees info into those forms, thus allowing EE to process the registration correctly. This will work for us.

I also went ahead and modified the [ticket_link] shortcode so that the ticket type is also apart of the link. This will help attendees identify their correct ticket.

All I need to accomplish now is preventing EE from sending the additional attendees emails(in our case now, only the primary will receive an email for each ticket type). Also need to include all of the tickets purchased in only one email sent to the primary attendee.

Thank you for helping out!

I was able to figure out how to include all tickets purchased in one email. The only thing that matches up for a purchase in the attendee table is the timestamps in the date column.

I just matched those up and looped them to include links to all tickets purchased in the primary attendee’s email.

Unfortunately it is still sending multiple emails(functionally its sending emails to all ticket types). All I need now is to disable it from sending more than just the one email!
