I’ve created an event with 3 different sessions (Time 1, 2, and 3) and created 3 different tickets (Ticket 1, 2, 3), one for each session. If someone registers for the first session (Ticket 1), the ticket with description and qty is listed on the PDF. If someone chooses the second or third sessions (Ticket 2 or 3), the ticket/description/qty is not listed on the PDF. Similarly, if someone choose all 3 sessions, only Ticket 1 details are listed on the PDF. This seems like a bug. |
I did try to reproduce the error, but I was not able to do it. Kindly send screenshot and walk us through your setup so we can see the bug you’re reporting? You can use loom to record the problem. thanks |

Interesting. I took screenshots of the setup as well as the results when one registers. Images are in the ZIP file. One thing different from your example is that our event is free and we are using EE to get/limit counts for each session — so there is no ‘ticket’. Download OneDrive_ZIP_file. NOTE: I am a novice with EE so there are probably a number of ways to improve on this; such as showing counts instead of listing the primary registrant multiple times on the confirmation screen. |
I did try the same scenario in our test site and everything seems fine. Let’s try to reset the message you received. 1. Go to EE Dashboard and Click Messages then Click Default Message Template 2. Scroll Down and find Recipt, then click Purchaser 3. You can Reset the template by going to Extra action, then click Reset template Link. Let me know if resetting the template resolve this issue. Thanks |

I had not modified the Receipt template, but went ahead and reset it as suggested. Still only showing the first ticket info/description. Very strange. Oh, if I leave the first ticket at 0, none of the tickets have info/descriptions. It’s only the first ticket in the group that works. I got to wondering and went back and deleted the first ticket. Now, none of the tickets show info/description. At least the email lists each ticket with info/descriptions correctly — the only issue is with the PDF. |
Can you create new Events and try it again? We’re trying to replicate the issue, but no luck. We would like to troubleshoot more on this issue. Can you fill this information? Thanks. |

I will, but have to work with our site admin to get FTP credentials. In the meantime, I thought of a few other considerations. We started out with the 30-day trial. After much trial and error, it appeared we needed the Multi Event and Event Table View add-ons to get what we hoped for. So we purchased the ‘Everything’ license and I installed MER 2.0.20.p and Event Table View 1.3.9.p. Main module is 5.0.7.p. When those still didn’t give us what we wanted, I deactivated the add-ons and just went back to the base product and came up with a less than ideal solution but which works better than with the add-ons. I just went ahead and deleted the add-ons to see if that helped, but it did not. |

Ok, so firstly, I’ve been able to reproduce this so we don’t need access to the site any longer 🙂 The issue is with tickets that have no price attached, that doesn’t mean all of your tickets need a cost, but when you created those tickets I assume you clicked to skip prices: https://monosnap.com/file/HjauJEI88HEeMJC9Pok5tMtCVFgsRa That’s usually fine but in this case its causing the issue for me, I’ll get a ticket raised to fix it. Right now when you create you ticket, even if you skip the prices on the above, change the ticket price to anything and then back to 0.00 again if its a free ticket. So click here: https://monosnap.com/file/LHjM8bif1J4XRWEDfsbeX2v02UbzG5 Edit the price and click away: https://monosnap.com/file/ImUPZCKlsz3zQS7SiCqD6QCJ3yKflk Click again and revert it back to 0.00. Now retest a registration on the ticket, does it work for you then?
Nope, as you’ve found it’s not related to custom message types for emails.
The problem there is only works for that use case and EE is designed to work for as many use cases as possible. By not requiring an email for each registration it opens up the system to have tickets with no contact record. Yes I understand your using the Primary Registrant but not everyone does and allowing contacts with no emails basically then breaks everywhere within EE that relies on those 3 constants. We have had multiple requests for a way to now require the email field for other types of registrations (Parent and Child for example) and we do have this on our roadmap for a future version but I just want to note that it is not as simple as just allowing the form to not have an email field. |
