Hello – I have just purchased your multi-event module for an event that has multiple ticket options. I would like to set up the event registration so that the user can select all desired options before adding them to the cart. Is that possible? I do not want the “Return to Event List” to take them back to ALL open event registrations, I would prefer that it returns them to same event. Is this possible? If this isn’t the right add-on for this, could you please let me know which is? Appreciate your help, thank you! |
Hi Jean,
It depends on the specifics here, can you add more details on how you are looking for it to work? The Multi Event Registration add-on allows users to select tickets and add the selection to a ‘cart’. Those ticket selections can be on a single event or multiple events but when finished they proceed through to the registration page to complete the registration. Do you have the add-on installed and activated?
This depends on your server setup, you can use a snippet like this: https://gist.github.com/Pebblo/844777c4c5be9f647b752f8a9bda50d0 Which will try to redirect the user back to the page they come from but if the value isn’t available sends them to the default list. You can add that to a custom functions plugin on your site, we have some documentation on creating one here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/ (Note the above only works when the Multi Event Registration add-on is enabled) |

Thank you for your prompt response. We wanted the user to be able select multiple ticket options and add them all to the cart at one time; rather than selecting one option at a time. For example select the conference registration ($250), one way ($40) or round trip ($80) transportation and a vip dinner ($100) — and add all of their selections to the cart at one time. Right now you can only select one option at a time. In addition, I only wanted to apply the multiple tix option to one event, but it appears to apply the option to all my open events. I think we will be altering our registration process to accommodate this so we have more control and won’t need to do any customization. Thanks so much for your help! |
If you have multiple ticket options on an event then they can do. However…
Those ‘add-on’ items mean you would basically need to limit registrations to a single person each time, which can work, but I don’t know if it will for you.
Correct, the multi-event registration add-on applies to all instances of the ticket selector (all events).
You’re most welcome. One option you have for the above is to just add multiple ticket selections, adding the ‘add-on’ items onto those as you go, so something like: Registration ($250) The user then selects one ticket per person in a single step, again I’m not sure if that is what you are looking for but is one option for the above. |

Thank you. Yes, this is the option we will be taking. I do have another question related to this event, but not the question per se…. How do I get the questions I have set up for this event to show up in the Event Admin and Primary Registrant confirmation emails? I have this in Attendee List:
And I have this is Questions List Is there a way to see this in preview? |
The above should work, which message type are you editing? The preview function uses dummy data, it was intended to be a way of viewing the layout rather than the specific questions used. So to ‘preview’ changes properly the best method to use is to add a registration to the event and then trigger messages on that registration to view it. |

Thank you Tony. I did set up a sample using the Pending Payment the message and the questions did show up properly. It does not look like we will need the Multiple Events add-on, so what is the best way to initiate a return? Appreciate your help, thank you! |
The quickest way is to use the contact form here: https://eventespresso.com/contact/ Select ‘I have a billing or account question’ and provide the requested details, a member of the sales team will contact you shortly. |
