I have an event that is open to members and their guests. I need the members to be able to purchase the tickets for themselves and a spouse or +1. I can’t seem to figure out how to collect guest information. I assume that’s because the guests aren’t members, so the fields are locked. I thought, well, I’ll just make those tickets non-member tickets… but apparently a member can’t purchase non-member tickets. Solutions? It’s not entirely necessary, I suppose to collect guest information, but it would be ideal so we can make sure members aren’t choosing the spouse ticket (which is $10) and not the Member Guest ticket which is $40. |
Hi, You’ll need to enable the registration information for additional attendees through the event editor. This is done in two steps. First make a change to the event options widget: http://cl.ly/image/3h05083D0o0L Then scroll down and enable the question groups for the additional attendees: http://cl.ly/image/423Z1W413Y3k — |

The only difference between what you describe/show was that I had personal info, rather than full. Changed to full, no difference. It’ still populating the field with just the member’s information and can’t be changed. |
Hi, Could you double-check that questions are linked to this question group? Also, do they appear if they are enabled for the primary attendee/registrant? — |

Hi Valerie, I understand what is happening. Here is an overview of how the questions and question groups work. The personal question group includes the name and email and this is the minimum information that Event Espresso needs to complete a registration. It is also a system question group. The next system question group is the address question group which includes the address and phone number. Although this is a system question group, it is optional Then custom question groups can be created. This lets you ask for basic information for one event and another set of information for another event. Keep in mind that a name and email will always be required. Here are the steps to fix this: 1) Create a new question called Guest’s First Name 2) Create a new question called Guest’s Last Name 3) Go to your custom question group and remove the system questions for first name and last name by unchecking them. Then check the questions that you just created and save changes. You can then go to your event and try to register again. Let us know if this works for you.
