Multiple Registration Emails Being Sent

I created a custom registration accepted message that included Registration and Payment information.

I disabled the Payment Received message type.

The first time I tested it, it worked properly. On registration the single email was sent to registrant with all info in the custom message.

However, for some reason it now sends both the custom message as well as the original default registration message.

Any idea how I can get this to stop doing so?

Hi Eric,

So you have a custom Registration Approved message type within Event Espresso -> Messages -> Custom Templates?

Then within the event you have select that custom message template within the ‘Notifications’ section, but when running a registration you get the ‘Global’ message and the custom one you selected above?

Do you also receive two Event Admin emails when this happens?

Hi Tony.

Yes I setup custom message and then selected it in notification section of event.

It sends the custom and the default out to registrants.

however, only the custom version sends to admin.

Hmm, strange.

I can’t reproduce this on my test sites, do you have an event I can run a registration on to see this in action please?

…all these events appear to be doing the same thing with the multiple emails sent. There is a free ticket that will allow you to see it without paying on the Saints Students Only event.

Which message type is the custom message setup for?

I see the issue with your emails, however I still can’t reproduce it. On my test sites the custom message is sent and the global is not.

Have you made any customisations to EE at all? Not the message templates etc but any custom functionality?
