I had a client register 3 registrants but used the same email address on each registrant. On doing this only one confirmation email was sent out to the email address with one of the registrants details on. Is there a way to get it to send out the 3 registrants details to the same address?
It wasn’t a manual registration via the dashboard it was a live sign up via the front end of the website.
Version of event espresso is
Event Espresso 4.6.14.p
If you put a different email address in for each registrant then each email address gets a confirmation of that particular registrants details. My client is saying that even if you put the same email in for each registrant then you should get 3 separate confirmation to that email for each registrant.
A registration is associated with an email address. Its not by the name.
If a registration is completed for two tickets, then the primary registrant would receive one email.
If you are wanting separate emails, then you could use different email addresses or you could turn off the registrant context for the registration approved message type and then turn on the primary registrant context for the registration approved message type.
A message type can be turned off by removing the TO field from the message via the Message editor and saving changes:
