I just bought EE4 and I am dismayed to discover that a major failing is the lack of ability to let users choose any or none of several extra-cost options on a ticket; or, another approach, to make some price modifiers optional. I have 3 registration packages, times two (early discount and not), with half a dozen optional extras that might apply to any of them, creating a combinatorial explosion (6*2^^6) that the user must navigate, even if I wanted to create that many ticket types. In addition I want to offer them an option to add a membership fee (one of several), which can be done with more tickets, but they create the assumption of other attendees and I can’t just turn off that feature or force them to go through the registration process again for each attendee.
When are you going to fix this?
I read the PHP code in
https://eventespresso.com/topic/how-can-i-add-an-optional-fee-to-a-ticket/ but it seems it still will likely not result in a simple HTML form that the user is accustomed to seeing for this kind of thing.

Hello,
This is on our roadmap here (https://trello.com/c/uJhRDmvT/104-price-modifier-add-on). The current workaround would be to create multiple pricing options.
However, that there are some limitations of that approach as each extra pricing option will be counted as a guest and if you need to create many pricing options, then that will slow down the registration experience.
Looking at the number of options that you mentioned, unfortunately, Event Espresso is a good fit so I would reach out and request a refund here:
