Hello just wondering if I have 3 lots of events on my web site – eg classes – workshops – tours – currently these are all shown on the 1 events page – how could i create 3 events pages that point people to each of these and how do I assign an event to that particular page please?
thanks

Hi,

You can add those events to different event categories through the event editor.

Then add the shortcode for each event category to a specific page:

thanks but still not clear to me sorry

I have a page called workshop events which has the wording
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE category_slug=WSE]

so now if i create an event which i want to list on this page and not the default events page how do I do that please?

To list the event using the above shortcode you add the event to the category with the slug WSE. Any event within that category will be display on the page using that shortcode.

You can not remove the events from the ‘default’ event list without custom coding, however to be clear, when you say the default events page do you mean the /events/ page EE dynamically created or another?

thanks – I just want to be able to offer classes – workshops – tours and not offer these on line regos on the same page….I am confused with this…

My default page is called classes and has
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE]

I have created a page called tours which has
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE category_slug=tours]

so then i create an event and under slug i enter tours but when i goto view the page called tours there is nothing there….

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘under slug I enter tours’ so I’ll run through how I would set this up.

I would create 3 event categories within Event Espresso -> Events -> Categories.

Like this – http://take.ms/2tT6r

Now when I create an event I can select which category that event should be within – http://take.ms/yjvgz

So I’ve created 3 events, each within their on relevant category – http://take.ms/OlH8w

Using just [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE] will show all events I have on the site – http://take.ms/hc3Wa

But, using [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE category_slug={slug}] will show the events for whichever category slug I set in place of {slug}, so in this example if I use:

[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE category_slug=tours]

I see any events within the tours category – http://take.ms/mu5Ot

Is that what you are looking for?
