I am building a website for a dance school.

On the website, under the “Classes” nav menu, we have “Adult Classes” and “Children’s Classes”

Let’s say I created a page for Adult Ballroom Dance.
The URL is now /classes/adult-classes/adult-ballroom-dance

I went into EE4 and created a new Event for this class.
Also in EE4, I am prompted to enter an Event Slug.
I entered ‘classes’

After doing this, it looks like
/classes/adult-classes/adult-ballroom-dance

…has now changed to…
/classes/adult-ballroom-dance

How can I create a single page for each type of class and still maintain this menu/submenu structure?

Hi Eric,

One way you can create a single page for each type of class and fit it within your menu/submenu structure is use the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on the pages where you want the event list to appear. Then you use the category_slug parameter to only show a specific type of class on that page. You’ll assign the types of classes to a corresponding category. You’ll also need to change the events slug setting to be unique, it should not be the same as any of the WordPress pages.

Another approach to this is not create sub-pages for the class listing, and instead, you use event categories and the menu manager. Here’s a screenshot that shows an example of how you can set up event category archives as menu items by using the WordPress menu manager:
