I’m having issues getting MER to function on our site. I am using 3.1.30.7P and MER 1.0.4 in WP 3.5.1. I receive the error “It looks like you are attempting to refresh a page after completing your registration or your cart is empty. Please go to the events page and try again.”

I’ve deactivated all the other plugins – same issue. I’ve done a clean install (I was originally testing Event Espresso Lite) and the issue remains.

I don’t think get it’s a permissions issue, either, because I got the cart to function on another one of our sites using 3.1.30.7P and MER 1.0.4 on WP 3.4.1. Same host.

Does MER have an issue with 3.5.1? Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!

I’ve installed both on our main site which uses WP 3.5.1 and it seems to work without any issues there.

This leads me to believe that it’s an issue related to the installation of Event Espresso Lite, it’s deletion, and the subsequent installation of Event Espresso.

Is there a procedure for a clean installation anywhere?

I’ve deactivated and deleted both Plugins. Dropped the tables from the DB. (Everything with WP_EVENT_…) However, when I’ve reinstalled Event Espresso the Support License Key is still active. This leads me to believe that there are files somewhere that are retaining information and aren’t getting deleted.

I’ve also noticed that once I delete the pages for Event Registration, Thank You, Registration Cancelled, and Transations, they’re no longer created when EE is reinstalled. I know that EE Lite does NOT create those pages, so I’m wondering if EE Lite still has files stored somewhere, and that’s causing some issues.

Thanks.

It’s also not the theme, because all 3 use the same appearance theme.

Hi Harry,

Firstly the upgrade from Lite to Premium shouldnt be an issue, they use the same codebase.

Regarding the 4 main pages, have you visited the General Settings and saved them? That should recreate the pages. However, it’s important to note that if there are pages in your Trash with the same name/slug or containing the shortcodes, it can cause issues.

The main error issue – are you running any form of caching plugin? If so you need to remove all EE pages from being cached and flush your cache.

Thanks, Dean. I figured out what the issue was.

The person who setup the site used an incorrect subdomain for the WordPress Address. This seemed to work OK for most of the pages, but caused issues with page preview, etc. Anyway, correcting that seems to have fixed it.

Thanks!

It’s under the WordPress General Settings.

The WordPress Address (URL) should be http://www.yoursite.com/wordpress if your Site Address (URL) is http://www.yoursite.com (If that’s where your WordPress files are located).

Ah, yes. I heard that also can be an issue. Glad you were able to resolve it.
