It seems that EE4 sends the Registration Approved email to each registrant on a registration. We do not collect data (check box) for the Additional Registrants and EE4 duplicates the details of the primary into additional registrants on the registration record. So, an email is being sent out to same email address multiple times. Is there any way to avoid this? To consolidate matching email addresses into one email message?
1) In the event editor, you are NOT asking for contact information for additional attendees? Thus, you are NOT presenting the option for people to copy the information from the primary attendee (Attendee #1) to the additional attendees?
2) If you are familiar with the Messages > Contexts, can you tell me what information you have in the TO line of Registrant context?
That’s correct, we are not asking for contact information for the additional attendees. The TO line of the Registrant context appears like you have in your screenshot, with ‘[RECIPIENT_EMAIL]’.
Cannot do a test event on our live site since Mijireh is only payment method available and does not support test mode. I have duplicated the issue on our dev site….
I registered onto 4 tickets and received 2 emails.
One which looks like the standard Registration Approved message and the other an edited message.
If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages. Find the registration approved message, does it look like this – http://take.ms/idyYe
Or is the Primary Registrant link active (blue)?
If you edit the Event Admin context what shortcode(s) are in use within the TO field for that context?
