I am going through EE4 and attempting to figure out how to setup something like this:
Main Event
-Day 1
–Track 1
—Time block 1(8am – 10am)
—-Topic 1
—-Topic 2
—-Topic 3
—Time Block 2(10am – 12pm)
—-Topic 4
—-Topic 5
–Track 2
—Time Blocks again
—-Topics again
–Track 3
-Day 2
And repeating over 3 days worth of tracks, time blocks and topics/sessions
I tried using categories and creating one main event and using the tickets to break everything out but it didn’t seem to work. I wanted our users to be able to select a topic from each time block. Is there a better way to do this? I think I am missing something…
Related to this, is it possible to:
1. Prevent a user from selecting more than a single topic within a time block?
2. Dividing the registration process so they can progress day by day?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi there,
It looks like you are looking to setup an event with a main ‘admission’ and then the user selects ‘sessions’ to attend over multiple days, is that correct?
If so, do you need to track registrations for each ‘session’ or just the overall event?
To allow for a single registration onto a main event and then track registrations on each single session you would need to use a single event and break each session into its own ticket, however depending on how many timeblocks you have and how many topics within each time block you may find you have a large amount of tickets which can be confusing.
If you can provide more details on how you want your registrations to work we can let you know if there is a way to set it up within EE.

Event Espresso does not currently have a way to prevent this.

So the user can register onto each single day separately with a new registration?
