We just updated to WordPress 5.8 and Avada Theme 7.4.1 and now our events that occur throughout multiple days do not show up continuously. We have an event called “Haunted House Competition” from October 1 – 30. Before the upgrade, it showed up on the calendar as one continuous bar through the entire month. We are a library so do not have tickets/payments, just a listing of events with registration. https://www.floridapubliclibrary.org/calendar/
We have EE 3.1.37.18.P
Can you please try adding event start and end times to the event? I understand that you might not want to show start and end times but I’d like to see what happens.
This is an issue that shows when events span across multiple weeks in the calendar and it shows when using a later version of jQuery and the version of fullCalendar we are using within the calendar add-on.
Currently, to work around this you need to switch to the ‘legacy’ version of jQuery using the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. However, if that may also disable other sections of the site which rely on later versions of jQuery to function.
Another option is to use a plugin to switch the version of jQuery in use on the fly but only on the page loading the calendar using a plugin like this:
You will need to edit the page that plugin is checking for to match whatever page you are using on your site. Open up ee-calendar-migrate.php and on line 14 you’ll see something like:
if( is_page('espresso_calendar') ) {
For your site that needs to be:
if( is_page('calendar') ) {
Then upload that .zip on the site in Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin.
