I want to use this feature to streamline our admin as we repeat all of our workshops so regularly. However, I’ve just done it with one event and added four events and two ticket types per event.

What concerns me is that I only see the event appear in my EE admin panel on the first date, which will mean I can’t administer the following events doesn’t it?

We rely on the events appearing in the admin panel to send send reminders to registrants and generally keep on top of our upcoming workshops.

Am I using the feature correctly or perhaps missing something?

So your adding multiple datetimes within a single event (and the tickets for each individual datetime)?

If so that is correct but it will not create individual events for each datetime. You can think of a datetime as an instance of an event, its not a new event but another time in which the event takes place.

When you created your tickets for your datetimes, did you set sepecific tickets for specific datetimes? Like this – http://take.ms/dHA75

So that the sale for that specific ticket apply only to that single datetime.

You can filter the registrations down to a specific datetime and send the newsletter message type to those registration if that is what you are looking for?

Hi Tony,

Yes, that’s exactly how I have done it. But I can’t really see then how we can actually sell tickets for an event that doesn’t show up in the event listings. We definitely can’t manage an event that isn’t in the admin panel. Isn’t that a bit strange?

It’s so close to being ideal, but if it doesn’t appear on our listings past the first date, or the admin panel its a bit pointless. Do you follow?

It turns out the event is still in your admin panel and in the event list, it’s still that one event, but instead of being scheduled for one datetime, it’s scheduled for many datetimes. So you can still edit it, and as long as it has an upcoming datetime, it will still appear in the event listings and the calendar. One of the differences is the entry for that event will show up on the list of events once, but will display an entry for each datetime in the calendar.
