Hi. Going through the setup and keep seeing support tickets about how event espresso isn’t really designed for multiple dates for one events (i.e. the way the wait list manager works, the way venues work etc.). My question is – can you point me to examples or documentation showing how we can set up our events so as to take full advantage of features like venues and the wait list manager?
Right now I’ve set up the categories and the user can then view all events per category – and finally – see all event dates per event. This works well enough until we start wanting to display venues and incorporate the wait list manager.
Suggestions on how I can rework this setup to take advantage of venues and wait list?

Can you provide more information on what you mean here?
It sounds like you want to display a list of venues and then have a waitlist option directly within the venue? Is that right?
If so I’m not sure how that would work as you would work as a waitlist is set on a specific event so how would the venue (would could have multiple events assigned to it) know which waitlist to display?

The links above should give you an idea of what we’re trying to do. Basically we have a category (“Recreational Courses”) with several classes in that category. Each class in turn has a number of events.
It seems many event apps deal with this by having a category table, a class table and an event table. EE only has category and event. How does EE suggest I manage this? Instead of creating an event with several dates for each “class” should I instead be created subdirectories for each category and treat the subdirectory as a “class”?
