I am using event espresso on my conference site – we offer delegates 20% discount when they book 3 or places on the conference. This needs to triggered by delegates and not products.
For example; A customer has recent bought 2 conference tickets and 2 dinner tickets. This should not activate the 20% discount as there are only 2 people coming to the event. However I dont seem to be able setup event espresso to work like this.
Currently this is not possible with Event Espresso 3.
Using EE3 and the volume discount Add-on the discount would be triggered if you based it on registrations (as that would be classed as 3 or more registrations)
With EE4 you could setup ‘min’ quantities on your tickets meaning you can offer certain tickets only if 3 or more are purchased. This isn’t exactly how you are requesting this to work, and will depend on the complexity of the pricing you are using.
I would recommend updating on a development version of the site first to check that, firstly the migration works correctly and also that EE4 will actually suit your needs.
For example, currently EE4 has no promo code functionality, so if you need this then EE4 will not be suitable at this time.
