We want to allow a group rate for multiple attendees but in the event they want to pay separately we want them to be able to do that without requiring information on additional attendees; Ie if the 1st person goes and chooses the group rate ticket, they would use a promo code we give them to adjust the pricing, but it since we’re requiring at least 4 people it keeps asking for additional information on the attendees. Disabling this on the event options wouldn’t work well because in some cases one person will pay for everything and we would need that info. But even if I set up a question group to get the info but don’t make it required, the information from the first person is still populated to the other registrants on verification and there are multiple instances of that person in the reports. Is there a way to make it so they can just NOT enter additional info on additional attendees but not that their name autopopulate to the additional fields? Not sure if I’m wording this right.
Within Event Espresso events you assigned the questions based on the event and you can set questions for the primary registrant only OR both the primary registrant and any/all additional registrants.
As those are applied to the event itself you can’t set a way to just have a specific ticket only ask a specific set of questions.

If I understand your question correctly I’m not sure how that would work, an additional registrant who could answer some questions but then not be linked as a registrant within the group? (If the details aren’t copied from the primary registrant when no contact details are provided, we can’t generate a contact/registration).
In short, EE can currently only ask questions for either just the Primary Registrant or the Primary Registrant and ANY/All additional registrants.
