Hi Kevin, With EE questions are assigned to ‘Question Groups’ and then in the event, you select which question groups are required by the ‘Primary Registrant’ (the first ticket) and then any other ‘Additional Registrants’ (any additional tickets). So any questions you don’t want repeating for each registrant, you assign to the ‘Primary Registrant’, questions specifically required for each registrant, you set on both (For example First Name, Last Name, Email would be assigned to the ‘Personal Information’ question group and assigned to both the primary and additional registrants). We have some details on how questions and question groups work here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/add-questions-event-espresso-question-groups/
Use the ‘Personal Information’ question group for those questions and set both the ‘Primary Registrant’ and ‘Additional Registrants’ to ask that group on the event. It’s this section in the event editor: https://monosnap.com/file/SbYGsxdaZwiWs4NzEmDA0v2DNWikX8
Set the Address group on the primary registrant only. For additional questions such as ‘Company’ you’ll need another question group with those in and again, only assigned to the primary registrant so it is asked once per group.
EE doesn’t officially support separating the ‘Purchaser’ from the Primary Registrant, they are considered one and the same. It is possible to use additional questions on the registration form to collect those details, but you’ll either need to make them optional (they will be displayed to all users) or if you want the emails to go to the ‘purchaser’ make them required for all users meaning if the purchaser is the attendee they need to enter their details twice. I can provide details on how to set those up if either of those options will work for you? |
