Wordpress version: 3.6.1
Eveent ezpresso: 3.1.35.2
Add on: members, multi-event registration, social media, recurring events, ticketing, API

http://swlypn.org.uk/ball/event-registration/?ee=1

I’m getting messages on the http://www.swlypn.org site saying rhw kwy is invalid. I think this is because we decided we wanted different branding on the events side so I set up a multi user site which insists on having this plugin on all sites in the network whether you want it or not. We dont need or want it on the swlpyn site only the swlypn/ball site.

To complicate matters further we’re in the process of shifting the whole lot to a eew domain name ypn.org.uk.

I don’t want to inadvertently break the riles of the license – we are in fact only running one site and one set of events – could you confirm what if anything I need to do.

Regards

Tony

Hi Susie,

Unfortunately Event Espresso 3.X does not officially support WordPress MultiSite (MS). Some users have had success when using it within a MS install when there are very few modifications needed. However in order for EE to work correctly the plugin must NOT be ‘Network Activated’.

The above is not so much a licensing issue but rather an issue with the plugin itself and MS.

MultiSite compatibility will be focused upon once EE4 is released (which we are currently working really hard to as quickly as possible)

Hi Susie,

I’m afraid at this time the license key system will only work on single site installations of WordPress. You can still use Event Espresso on a multi site network (although we have found that it works best when it’s activated on a per site basis, things break when it’s network activated)

Since the update API keys do not work on multi site, Event Espresso and its add-ons will need to be updated manually when updates become available instead of using the one click update feature.

Thanks. Somehow, maybe because I didn’t know it would be a problem, I’ve got the plugin working on multi-site. However when we move domain names I will follow your advice and activate it only where I want it. Thanks.
