Hi There,

I have a reoccurring event that has 3 datetimes. I want to know if a certain registrant can not make a specific datetime in the Event series they registered for can I move them (cancel / re-register) from the datetime in that event to a datetime in another event?

Example below, I want to move a registrant from Event A date 2, to Event B, date 2 while still have them registered for date 1 and date 3 in event A.

Event A:
Date 1
Date 2
Date 3

Event B:
Date 1
Date 2
Date 3

Thanks

Hi Mike,

Each of the tickets selected would create a new registration, so if Date 1, Date 2 and Date 3 are on separate individual tickets you can use the EE4 Attendee Mover add-on:

https://eventespresso.com/product/eea-attendee-mover/

That allows you to move a registration from one ticket to another.

Is that what you are looking for?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the reply. Although I am not sure what you mean by separate individual ticket? I have set up one single event but with multiple datetimes,

See the sample event to illustrate my point:

Will the plugin you suggested work with this kind of setup?

Thanks

So you have 3 datetimes with a single ticket on the event?

If that’s the case how do you know which datetime the registration is for? Or do all registrations apply to day 1,2 and 3?

A registration is made to a ticket and that ticket can apply to one or more datetimes. With the current setup you have 1 ticket that applies to all datetimes, so all registrations apply to all of the dates selected on the ticket. With that setup you can’t ‘move’ the registrant to another date whilst keeping them on the other two.

You would need 3 tickets, one for each datetime.

Hi Tony,

So just to confirm there is no possible way to switch between datetimes. I would need to create 3 different events in order to be able to do this

No, that’s not correct, but it depends on your ticket setup.

Your registrants don’t register onto datetimes, they register onto tickets which are assigned to datetimes.

When you want to move a registrant from one datetime to another you are switching the ticket(s) they are registered onto to another ticket that is assigned to the correct datetime.

So, if your event has a single ticket that is assigned to 3 datetimes, like this – http://take.ms/uYzXV

Or maybe some similar combination (the point being a single ticket assigned to multiple datetimes) you can’t change edit the registration to change the ticket to be assigned to another datetime, leaving the other 2 assigned to it.

You can move registrations to another ticket, be that in the same event or another, but you can’t just reassign the datetimes on a ticket for that registration.

I can’t view your event right now to recap on your setup as your site is throwing the redeclare function error from your other thread but once I view your event again I can give you another example.

Hi Tony,

Great, I understand what you mean. I was using 1 ticket for all days but now I will just set up separate tickets for each day rather than a ticket for all days. Then I can register and cancel individually for the specific dates.

Thanks for the help. You can close this ticket
