How can I move from ee4 which is on my staging site back to ee3 which is on my live site. I also need to know how to uploaded all new events and costumer information, that was changed while testing in the staging site to the staging site so I can then go live with all my current events and information. I want to move everything to the live site as ee, when we tried to move the data it did not transfer correctly. |
You can copy the data from live to staging or staging to live by using a plugin such as WP Migrate DB or similar. Another option is you can use the Duplicator plugin. |

how do i change to ee3 on the staging site? Do I just deactivate ee4 and then activate ee3 will it cause any problems? |
|
Will I lose any data? |
It depends. Are there events and registrations that were made while EE4 was activated? If so, you will not be able to access those events and registrations with EE3. The data between the two plugins are incompatible. |

Nothing on the staging site was made. If I buy a support ticket will you all be able to do that? |
Hi there, I think you’re making this more complicated than it needs to be. You can use the duplicator plugin or one of the WP Migrate DB plugins to copy the entire live site over to your dev site. The important thing to know is any data that was added while using EE4 cannot be migrated to EE3. The upgrade path where we have a migration tool is made to go from EE3 to EE4. |

Maybe I’m not sure |
Did you create the design using WordPress template files and CSS or was it all set up via options that are stored in the database? If the latter, you could go into the staging site’s EE4 Maintenance page and delete all Event Espresso data, then install EE3 to test the new look and feel with the new site. Along with that, you could copy all of the tables from live to staging that have _events_ in their name. Please note though, if any new registrations are made on live after that point, you’ll lose those if you move the data back from staging to live. |

I have no idea what your asking as I did not start this project, I’m just having to finish it. I’m pretty sure we we used a wp theme |
In that case then you could go into the staging site’s EE4 Maintenance page and delete all Event Espresso data, then install EE3 to test the new look and feel with the new site. |

okay – thanks |
|
just checking this is what I press Permanently Delete ALL Event Espresso Tables and Data |
That button deletes all EE4 data: events, attendees, settings. |
