In an older version of Event Espresso it was possible to add any number of additional questions to the Personal Information group and it was working how we wanted it to. The questions started duplicating hundreds of times which forced me to delete all questions in the database and simulate an update to get the default questions back. I have now re-added all questions that were lost but I am not able to get the same questions again back into Personal Information because in the current version I am only unable to add the default locked questions to Personal Information and any questions I create are not available to add. Is limiting the Personal Information group to the 10 locked questions an intentional update or might I be doing something wrong?

Hi,
Event espresso Lite doesn’t allow new questions to be created.
I checked the latest version of EE Premium (3.1.36) and there is no issues with having the number of questions in a group limited.
Can I ask what version of Event Espresso you are using please?
Also, if you have a valid support licence please log into your account to post forum threads.

I am not using the lite version, I don’t have the login to the person who paid for the plugin so cannot choose the right category for this post.

Hi,
Thanks for that.
It appears you are using Roles and Permissions.
Have you tried clicking the All Questions link near the top (left image)?
It may also be necessary to log in as the question creator as questions can’t be shared to different roles.

The three questions I created do appear under all questions. They should appear in the right hand picture under “Add further questions to group” but they aren’t. I am logged in with the same account (admin) that created the questions.

There’s no limitation on the number of questions in a group. I just added 13 questions to the personal information group. It is possibly something wrong in your question group relation table.

That gave me an idea. I added the three questions I wanted manually in the relations table since it wouldn’t let me in WordPress back end. It appears to have worked, may it have any adverse effects anywhere else?

The plugin really isn’t behaving correctly, I’m not able to add new questions to new groups. If it is a problem with the relation table, how can I fix it?

Hi Alex,
I notice you have Better WP Security, do you have any ‘Tweaks’ enabled in Security -> Tweaks?
I suspect whatever the cause for your Duplicate Questions issue is also causing issues here.

After a lot of testing I have learned we cannot achieve what we want with permissions pro enabled as it takes control of all the questions and question groups and stops users from being able to use other users questions/groups. Unfortunately we now wish to deactivate permissions pro, although it was good for the event manager role it has caused too many problems with the questions. How can I completely deactivate permissions pro as I am still getting the My questions/All questions tabs after deactivating it. I wish to return back to how the site was before installing permissions pro.
