From my customer:

Can you add to each of the calendars a link that says like, MAY that you can click on when the April calendar comes up. Right now, when people go to the calendar they see April (and many of them don’t realize they are on April even though it clearly says it and there are arrows to go to MAY) so they call me freaking out that they can’t register. If there was the word May either next to or in place of the arrows I think they would see that better. Also would stop them from having to scroll all the way down to then realize they have to go back up and click the arrows.

Hi, the month names can’t be added there but you can add more descriptive text like Previous Month and Next Month.

This can be done through Event Espresso –> Calendar Settings –> Button Text:

Be sure to save changes afterwards.

I tried adding ‘Previous Month’ in the fields but they do not show.

Hi,

This is in EE4, but EE3 is very similar:
admin – http://take.ms/RdRuf
front – http://take.ms/DhYHX

Did you make sure you saved the options after adding the new text? (I know, silly question, but I have to check).

Yep, I have it exactly how the example shows. Does not show on front end.

Any luck? I sent the login access a few days ago?

Hi Dorian,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I took a look, but unfortunately the login details provided are not admin level. As such I could not access the EE settings.

Can you change the user to admin level (or preferably send details of an admin user with a stronger password).

Try now

Hi Dorian,

When the themeroller option is activated, it replaces the text entered in the calendar settings with images of arrow buttons with CSS. So if you disable the Themeroller Stylesheets option in Event Espresso > Template settings the Next Month and Previous Month text will display.

Do any of those themes have the option with ‘previous month’ and ‘next month’?

They do not, but you can make your own theme, or edit an existing theme and replace the arrow buttons with buttons that have text with the arrows. There is a bit of CSS changing you’d need to do though because the jQuery themeroller buttons are all designed to have a layout with the button sizes the way they are now. So if you make the buttons bigger by adding text, you’ll likely need to adjust some of the CSS.
