Hey guys, Can you point me in the direction on how to get Moneris integrated with EE? I realize an wp plugin will have to be built. Any suggestions on where to start? Moneris provides excellent service and the best card processing rates I can find in Canada. I’d really like to stick with them and avoid using Mijireh as the gateway. Thanks, Dere |
Hi Derek, We have some documentation on creating your own custom payment method here: https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/tree/master/docs/L–Payment-Methods-and-Gateways If you are not familiar with creating payment methods/integrations (not just within EE but in general) I’d advise against trying to create your own, getting it wrong could potentially land you in some hot water if for example you started logging/handling card details on your server when you didn’t expect to be. |

I can recommend contacting codeable.io because they may be able to give you a quote to develop a custom gateway. |

Great, thanks to you both, I’ve submitted a quote. |

Happy New Year! I got an estimate back and the developers @ codeable and said about 12 hours @ USD$60-90. I don’t mind paying a bit for this plugin, but this cost is just too much. I suspect I’m not the only one needing this plugin, and perhaps someone else has already created it. I found this thread: https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-and-moneris/ … and saw others in the forums. Is there a way to contact that user and see if they’ve developed the plugin already? Are there any other ways to get this developed, even at an additional cost to me (just not + $USD720)? Thanks, Derek |

And I’m just looking to have hosted integration with Moneris – I’m fine with passing the customer over to Moneris payment page, which I understand is the easiest to develop. |
Hi Derek,
Whilst I do understand that may seem like a lot, 10-12 hours to develop a payment method is about correct. We no longer offer custom payment method integrations (at least for the time being), when we did we based the development time on around 10-12 hours and the cost was higher, yet we also took on support of said gateway which is also something you should take into consideration (if Moneris decided to change their integration, who updates the plugin). So the point being, for a single developer to create a custom payment method the above is not all that high.
I’ve opened that thread up, you can add a reply there and the user may respond.
If there are other locked threads you’d like to post in I’ll reopen them for you, just post them here.
Unless you use something like WP Gateways which can attempt to sell the payment method multiple times to recoup the development cost you will almost certainly looking at over $500 due to the time involved with build an integration. |
