I read the other postings here about not being able to log in to the apps. I seem to have the same problem. Has anybody been able to use the apps yet? All my plugins are up to date as well as WordPress. |

Hello, We’ve made some changes in the latest release to improve compatibility across different hosting platforms. Could you confirm that this works in the latest release of Event Espresso 4 (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/)? If you do not see an update notice, then you can go to Event Espresso –> General Settings and save changes. That will trigger a check for updated software. — |

thank you. I can now login but am unable to list attendees. I get a message saying not allowed to list registrations missing permissions ee_read_registrations, ee_read_others_registrations. I verified all the permissions are selected and even tried login with super admin with all capabilities. |

Hi Maurice, Do you have any plugins installed that add Basic Authentication or other types of Authentication to your WordPress site? |
|
no I don’t think so. I have Wordfence but I deactivated that and still no luck. I also deactivated all plugins except event espresso plugins and still not able to list registrations in the app however I can login with the same credentials on the desktop and list registrations. |

Do you have any additional rules in the .htacess file besides what WordPress adds for its rewrite rules for permalinks? |
|
no i do not have anything else in htaccess. I am sill unable to get it to list registrations with any user role including admin and no plugins other than ee4 plugins and nothing extra in htaccess. |

Hi Maurice, It might help if you can capture any errors that occur when you try to access a registration list in the app. Here’s how you do that: You set up WP_DEBUG using this example: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#Example_wp-config.php_for_Debugging Then you clear any errors that may be already in wp-content/debug.log, and save the file. Then you log into the app and try to view a registration list. Then you check debug.log for any new errors. |

There are no errors in the debug log |

Thanks for checking! We’ll need to find out why some sites are allowing authentication for the apps while some sites are not. We’ll update this thread with any information that we find. |
