I would like to use the mobile app for check in during our event but I am continuing to get this error when logging with an Administrator account:
“Sorry, you are not allowed to list events. Missing permissions: ee_read_events, ee_read_others_events, ee_read_private_events”

I have read the other support posts and installed Application Password plugin, updated .htaccess file per the troubleshooting directions for For Apache servers with FCGI.

Still no joy.

What else am I missing?

Hi there,

May I ask what string are you using for the Website URL in the app?

Hi,

You could check with your host to see if the server allows for passing the Authorization headers. That’s what the app uses to authenticate with your website. This is done via the Basic Auth plugin that’s bundled within Event Espresso core. It can also be installed as a standalone plugin and is available here:

https://github.com/WP-API/Basic-Auth

So if the server admin can configure the server to allow the Basic Auth plugin to work on the server, then the apps will be able to connect to your site. See also:
