About a month ago we had an issue with the PDF printing and it looks like in the process of fixing this another much more important issue happened.
One of our clients received an email confirming the payment of an event. The email contains a Client ID that in WP is assigned to another client. That means the client who got the email got the wrong Client ID assigned and the Client ID got mixed with another client who also made a ticket purchase. When we look for the client who got the email by name or transaction or any other information contained in the email the purchase doesn’t exist, but in splash the purchase went through and it was charged to the clint’s C.C.
Also, looking further in WP in another section the transaction appears with the client who got the email information but the purchase shows as NULL as if the transaction was canceled or voided but again, the client was charged.
I need to find a solution for this ASAP and see if this issue also happened to any other clients.

Hi,

From what you’ve described, it sounds like someone manually altered one of the database tables that Event Espresso uses to store registration and/or transaction information.

May I ask do you have a backup of the database from about a month ago that can be used to compare to the current database?
