I am getting the error “Sorry, you are not allowed to list events.” when using the EE4 app. That said, I followed the information in the #troubleshooting guide. I fixed the .htaccess file and it still is not working.
Please help!

I followed the #troubleshooting tutorial and changed the .htaccess files. I am using apache server. Still not working. PLease help!

Should be a little more specific. I am trying to use the EE4 app. I have used it in the past without issue. It seems that the .htaccess file is edited when wordpress updates. I fixed the file based on the troubleshooting tutorial, this has not fixed the issue. still getting “Sorry, you are not allowed to list events.”

Since the last time you used the app have there been any security plugins added or updated?

No I have not other than the standard wordpress updates for themes and included plugins. No additional security updates or plugins.

May I ask, when you open the app to connect to your site, what’s the website URL that you input into the first field? Please feel free to set the private reply option if you prefer to.

You could check with your webhost to see if they’ve changed anything that would affect requests to your site’s wp-json/ee/v4.8.36/events endpoint. If that worked before but does not work now than there, like a security firewall, that may be something blocking requests now that wasn’t there before.
