Missing message templates – not sending emails – multisite

All the emails on the /site are not sent, there are no message templates and cant create templates (missing button)

Hi there,
On the message settings page, disable the emails by clicking the green toggle and wait a few seconds, then re-enable the email toggle again and recheck your default message templates.

Do they now show up?

that worked the templates are back – can i use batch and “generate and send now” to send the messages that is not sent? -> meaning will it resend the all the receits etc. it should have sent earlier?

Possibly, it depends on what point the messages are already at within the queue, if they are assigned to a ‘different’ templat ID, I know there wasn’t any shown, but if the messages have been assigned to an template ID that doesn’t exist, they can’t generate.

Test the above on one message and see if it goes through, if not, you’ll need to re-trigger the messages from the admin, which is a little more work as you can’t batch generate all messages that need to send in a single step.

So start with the above, if the messages can’t be sent it means they are assigned to the ‘wrong’ template ID and I’ll walk you through how to regenerate the messages.
