Missing fields in importer?

Hi,

I’m trying to import attendees into an event using the importer. I’m testing using one of the CSV files from the Importer documentation. Yet, when I try to import, I only get a dropdown with 2 headings and 5 fields:

Payment
-Amount Payment should be for
Personal Information
First Name – System Question
Last Name – System Question
Email Address – System Question
Phone Number – System Question

The CSV has at least 7 more headings (address, etc.) that can’t be mapped, because they don’t show in the dropdown. How do I add them to the dropdown?

Hi there,

The dropdown includes the questions from the groups selected on the event, so it sounds like you only have the ‘Personal Information’ question group assigned on the event.

You’ll need to set the other groups with the questions you want to map to on the event, this section in the event editor – https://monosnap.com/file/SbYGsxdaZwiWs4NzEmDA0v2DNWikX8

Hi,

The importer uses the fields assigned to the event. You’ll go to Event Espresso > Events, and edit the event you’ll be importing into. There, you’ll check the applicable boxes next to question groups in the list under the heading “Questions for Primary Registrant”.

For example if you want to import in address information for each of the registrations, you check the box next to Address Information. Then you’ll click the link to update the event so that change takes effect.
