hello, we are rebuilding our website and need to clean up our eventespresso database as it has almost a decade of event information stored in it. we only want to migrate the open events and don’t need to preserve the registration information, or even the venue data. i tried using the ‘export all event data’ button on the event overview page, editing the csv and then uploading it with the ‘import events’ button, but critical information like start and end date did not come though. do you have a technote on how to use these functions?

Hi,

You’ll find the notes/instructions on the page that opens after you click “Import Events”. One important note there is the date format which needs to be formatted YYYY-MM-DD.

right, and i downloaded the template and updated the dates in the proper format and uploaded but still getting a 1970 date on all of them.

What you could do is open the .csv file in a text/code editor and check those dates. If the imported events all have dates from 1970 then it may be the app changed the date text string into a date formatted cell.
