Event Espresso doesn’t technically ‘send’ emails, what it does is build the content out and pass that over to your server to do whatever it is set up to do with emails to send them.
That means issues with emails are usually down to the mail server in use rather than EE itself but we can investigate a little to confirm.
How is your site set up to send email? For example through Gmail or just your host’s mail server?
When you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activist, what do the messages list as? Failed with a red status bar?
