Hi – I have one question group that applies to some events and not others. Is it OK to have different groups for different events that will be added to the cart and registered for in one registration session?
(use case is 3 of our classes use the pool and have to ask if child is a swimmer, don’t wnat people to have to answer that if they’re signing up for tennis)
I assume you have all of the events set to collect registration questions for additional registrants?
The above fine and EE will build out the registration form based on each individual event, as long as you are requesting the questions for additional registrants on all events.
Just to clarify, they don’t need to be the SAME question groups but if you have say Event 1 set to only collect Primary Registrant questions, Event 2 to collect Primary and Additional and EVent 3 to collect Primary and additional. Event Espresso will use the setup for whichever event is added first, fo if the user selects tickets from Event 1 and adds them to the cart, then Event 2… EE will only request Primary Registrant questions.
My plan is to set all to both primary and additional, but the additional will have different questions groups. So I think you are saying that is OK? And they’ll only have to enter the primary question group info once regardless of how many events they add or in what order?

Correct, the groups displayed on that primary registrant will be based on whichever the ‘first’ event they add into the cart is, but yes, it will only request them once.
