We are setting up a website that manages user memberships as well as monthly and yearly events such as a golf outing. We are planning on using the WP User Integration add-on to manage the users and memberships. We are looking to allow member specific pricing for individual events as well as non-member pricing. We are also in need of a way to become a member with out needing to have an event created.

I am looking for recommendations or best practices to get me started in the right direction. I did install a role plug-in in the WordPress site to allow me to add custom roles to control member-only pages as well as some pricing options, but I don’t want to go too far if I am not going the right direction.

I appreciate any insight or feedback.

Hello,

You can use a membership plugin like Paid Memberships or S2member to handle the annual billing.

Then you can restrict access to member only pricing options by using a capability in the advanced area (gear icon) of the ticket editor within the event editor:

If a pricing option does not have a capability set, then it will be available for registration by all visitors to your site.
