I am trying to manually add people who already exist as site users (Of the right user type) by using the Add New Registration Button. While it adss people fine, it doesnt show up in their own list of registered events (The “Your Registrations”).

According to:
b=https://eventespresso.com/topic/integration-of-users-and-manual-event-registration/
I should be able to have it show up for that user as long as the email, first and last name match. They do exactly, but the user’s list of Registrations still shows empty for him and Paid in the admin back-end. the admin can edit, the user does not see anything unless he responds to an email.

Should a person with a user account be able to access their registrations in they manually added by using Add New Registration button from the Plugin?

Hi there,

Should a person with a user account be able to access their registrations in they manually added by using Add New Registration button from the Plugin?

Yes, but not if it’s the first registration made for that account.

To explain, EE creates ‘EE Contacts’ as part of a registration, that is created using the First Name, Last Name and Email address from the registration and all registrations that match those redials link to that contact.

So you have an EE_Contact and then EE_Registrations link to that contact, so you could have many registrations all linked to a single contact.

When registrations are created (be it through the front end or the admin) EE checks for an EE Contact with matching first name, last name and email address and if it finds one, it doesn’t create a NEW contact and just links the registration to that contact. Make sense?

What the WP user integration add-on does is create a relationship with the EE_Contact to the current user when they create a registration that matches the details. Meaning EE_Contact ID 11 may link to WP_User ID 54, right?

BUT we can’t do that when adding registrations in the admin because the user adding those registrations could add registrations for multiple different users.

So if the EE_Contact has already been linked to a WP User (meaning the user themselves has added a registration on the front end) and you add a registration from the admin, that new registration will show, because the relationship is there already. But if it’s a new user with no registrations and you add a registration in the admin, the EE_Contact -> WP_User relationship can NOT be created, so the registration links to their contact, but it won’t show in the My Event section yet.
