Hello, I have a client who has thousands of attempts to process Authorize.net payments and wondered is there is a way to prevent those. All were declined but they were concerned.

Thanks

Hi,

That could be a bot submitting the payment form over and over. So you could do any of the following:
add reCAPTCHA to the registration form (there’s a reCAPTCHA option in Event Espresso > Registration Forms > Settings

or install a plugin like Block Bad Bots and/or a security plugin like WordFence

Thank you, I have added recaptcha v3. Let me know if that is OK to use for these forms.

Did you add reCAPTCHA via the Event Espresso > Registration Forms > Settings page? If so that’s OK. If you’ve added reCAPTCHA some other way it’s not going to protect the registration forms.

Yep. So far I think things are working. I’m waiting on feedback from client. Thanks!

It looks like the captcha V3 isn’t working with the form. On the page I’m getting ERROR for site owner: Invalid Key type. If you simply try to register you can see the error. https://www.jansenartcenter.org/purchase-checkout/?uts=1574451971#checkout

OK, I switched it to Recaptcha 2 invisible but I’m getting the image challenge now. Any advice?

I can advise to try just invisible reCAPTCHA, for the Ticket Selector only.

It looks like right now you’re not using invisible reCAPTCHA because there’s an “I’m not a robot” checkbox added to the registration form right now.

So I ended up getting recaptcha v2 invisible to work. Not sure why the robot checkbox was there but it did eventually disappear. Thank you!

Hi,

Are you sure? I’m still seeing the “I’m not a robot” checkbox on the registration form on your site. Please note that you need to be logged out of the site to see reCAPTCHA in action.
