Maps Not Working (Google API Correctly Activated)

I am getting gray boxes over all of the Google Maps used via the Event Espresso plugin. I have confirmed that the Google Maps API code is correctly registered. All help is appreciated! Here is an example: https://gardeningvolunteers.org/events/gardening-essentials-class-august-20-2018/

Hi there,

This is the error being thrown on your site from Google Maps:

Geocoding Service: You have exceeded your daily request quota for this API. If you did not set a custom daily request quota, verify your project has an active billing account: http://g.co/dev/maps-no-account For more information on usage limits and the Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/usage

In short, Google Maps is no longer free (after X amount of hits) and you’ve hit your daily free limit. See here:

Good catch– thank you. I added billing info and confirmed that it is setup correctly, but am still getting the gray screen. Anything else you can see?

New error 🙂

Geocoding Service: This API project is not authorized to use this API. For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

Your key does not have the Geocoding API enabled on it.

Go to Developer Console and make sure the Geoencoding API is enabled on your key.

You should also do the same for geolocating.
