I’m getting map to show on receipt and the emails… but not on the Event pages themselves. The shell of the map shows but there’s no graphics. https://hoffmanarts.org/events/shellys-testing-event/ Thank you! |
OH and I should probably mention that I too am seeing the eejs error. IS that related? |
Well, the client wants me to hide this so people aren’t seeing a blank map. So you’ll not be able to see it now… grrrrr…. I’m going to try and figure out a time where I can display them again for you. here’s a screeshot of the problem in case this helps…see screenshot |
Hi Shelly,
No, that shouldn’t prevent the maps from loading, I get the same error and maps are working for me.
Hmm, so there’s no error in the console relating to maps. Can you take a screenshot of the venues ‘Physical Location’ section and post it here? (The address details) So that I can match it locally and see if anything shows there. |

Ok, click on the first venue in that list to edit that. In the sidebar you’ll see a ‘Physical Location’ section, take a screenshot of that for me please. Here is an example of one of mine: |

Thank you for helping me by the way! |
Hmm, ok. So the google maps API can often fail even thought the ‘static’ maps (like those on the invoice) work based on the address info given. The address provided above is working for me. Can you enable Google Maps on the event again so I can take a look now? |
Sure, I was just using css: To hide it but I have removed that now and you can see the issue: |
Did you clear the cache after removing the above? I can’t see the map loading currently. |
Clearing cache now… |
Hmm, this is strange. Has that key worked previously? |
Yes, I believe so. We did JUST launch this site yesterday and are keeping the old site up for a bit while we make sure we didn’t miss anything… Could running 2 sets of EE be the cause? We have the site hidden behind password protection but we’ve not disabled EE as yet. We’ll likely just dump the whole thing in a month. |
No, running 2 instances of EE won’t cause this, but did the domain change at all? |
Nope. Same domain. |
Do you have a staging copy of the site? The only other thing I can think of here is a plugin or theme conflict, I can’t see anything that stands out when viewing the page so to troubleshoot we’ll need to reactive plugins etc, which normally I would advise against dong on a live site. |
I can do that on a staging instance. I’ll let you know… |
