Please advise on how to manually input a credit card payment on the back end after manually adding a registrant. We have had several instances were peoples transactions got stalled at the checkout stage so we are trying to assist them by completing the payment process thru the backend (receiving there credit card info and us entering it.) I assume this is possible with EE4.?.?.?

Hi, you can add a payment by going to Event Espresso –> Transactions. Then click on the transaction and then look towards the middle of the page and click on the add payment button. Then enter the details and then scroll down and save.
From here, you can go to that attendees registration details page and then send their details. To do so, place a checkmark in the send related details checkbox and click on approved.
Note that you cannot process a credit card payment through the WP dashboard. You would need to process it through your merchant account and then credit the payment by following the steps above.

Our site it using PayPal as the merchant account. When I follow your suggested steps above will it take me to/through the payment process as if I was doing it from the outside? Will I be able to do the entire transaction through the backend (registration and payment)?

Hi Jeffrey, no payments can be processed through the WP dashboard. You would need to collect the payment through your merchant account (e.g. send a payment request via PayPal).
The steps that I shared are how to add a payment to a transaction so the transaction is updated to complete.
