Hi, We are selling course registrations and some courses have a maximum of people that can register for each course date. The payment option is set up as invoice which is managed outside of Event Espresso. Is it possible to have the amount of tickets available for each course date managed by the registrations (with or without payment). For example: a course has a maximum of 24 tickets available. When 24 people have registered, it doesn’t show that the course is full. Is there a way to have it display as full once it hits the maximum available tickets even when payment is pending? Thanks and I look forward to your reply. |

You set the datetime reg limit to 24 instead of setting a qty of 24 tickets. Also, you set the default registration status to Approved instead of Pending Payment. This way, when someone completes the registration, their registration is counted toward the limit. |

Thanks Josh for the quick reply. If I change the registration status to Approved instead of Pending Payment, will they still receive the Pending Payment message? Also, where do I manage the datetime reg limit? I only see the ‘limit’ (maximum number of tickets). Thanks! |

They’ll receive the Registration Approved message instead. The Datetime reg limit field is up above the ticket rows, where you set up the datetimes. |

OK thanks. Yes I have the Datetime reg limit correct. Is there a way to customize the Registration Approved message? I only see Receipt, Invoice and Registration Pending Payment messages that I can edit. |

Yes the Registration Approved message gets editing just like the Registration Pending Payment message. If it’s not listed in the Messages table, it may mean that you need to activate it first. |

When I go to Messages Settings and view the Settings Tab, the Registration Approved message is active but it doesn’t show in the ‘Default Message Templates’ tab to be able to edit it. Any suggestions on how to edit it? |

Is there a page 2 in the list of default message templates? If not, or the Registration Approved message template isn’t listed there, you could try disabling the message type, then re-enable it. |

Awesome! That worked 🙂 Thanks! |

You’re welcome. |
